Practice

The practice of Andriy Boyarov is deeply rooted in his investigation of an image nature. In his case “the image” refers not only to the photographs and videos of his own authorship, but also to found images – countless pictures picked up from vast media field as well as from various analogue archives. As a part of Boyarov’s artistic statement these images appear as almost abstract entities by losing the original narrative function and revealing their primary visual attributes.
